Meet the Staff
Dion & Sandra Ortiz | Owners
Sandra Sanchez-Ortiz began working for Zia Building Maintenance in 1997 as their personnel director. She purchased the business in 2000 and in 2012, her husband, Dion Ortiz, joined the company too. They have been successful partners ever since. Dion’s previous work history includes Facilities Manager for the YMCA and doing sound for the band, Redneck. They have a combined 50 years of industry experience. Together they share four children, two of which work for Zia. As of recently, they’ve been enjoying their retirement through a backup/consultation role with Zia while running their own food truck!
Ashley is the oldest daughter of Sandra and Dion and is currently running the business while her parents enjoy their retirement years. She began working in the company when she was 16. In college, she studied engineering, but soon found her love for business and marketing in the family business when she began taking on leadership roles. Ashley has 15 years of experience in the business, with seven of those learning and growing in the leadership role of Operations Manager.
Our supervisors are hand-picked from our dedicated cleaning team and are trained to be compassionate and strong leaders in the business. Everyone who has worked in Zia has started in a cleaning role, including the owners and manager. This provides a solid and humble foundation to our team, allowing us to provide the best service in the City of Albuquerque.
Our cleaning team is made up of dedicated individuals committed to our core values of hard work, integrity, and respect. All team members have undergone a background check and have completed our extensive training program. You will know them by our signature red uniform shirts! Our team is hand-picked to show off not only our promise of consistency and outstanding service but to also showcase their amazing personalities and work ethic to our clients.
